I had an amazing experience at Islands Cafe! The vibe here is so laid-back and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to relax. I started visiting this cafe after moving to White Rock for 6 months.They don't overtly advertise, with extensive signage. Perhaps, this is unnecessary because the cafe has an established, consistent clientele. My order is always the same due to my dietary restrictions. So, I've been able to compare the quality, presentation and taste in different locations. The White Rock site, definitely met my expectations for the aforementioned. The acai bowl both looked and tasted appealing. Moreover, the machiatos are made the European-way, simply with a dash of milk and shots of espresso . This enables you to actually distinguish the flavor of the coffee rather than the milk. Some Western cafes struggle with this concept. Hence, I was delighted that I didn't have to educate or train the staff on the creation of these items. I will certainly return here more as a local. Thank-you for this excellent experience.
Great cafe for studying, conversing, or hanging out! Outlets and wifi available. Lots of unique drinks to try and a very fun upbeat atmosphere. Looking forward to trying more drinks!
Aside from lovely coffees and treats and snacks, my experiences here are always uplifting. I'm a little scatterbrained so when I forget to ask for oatmilk, at least one of the baristas will come up and ask if I want it. It's little things like this that make a cafe feel like a community space. Thank you to all the kind and helpful staff here also the chocolate macadamia nut latte is delicious I definitely recommend it
